Bacon Lampshade

Even I have to give this a WTF.

I hope someone recovered that bacon and gave it a proper cooking otherwise it's just a waste of good bacon.

UPDATE (Nov.1st): Ok, SeriousEats dug up more info on this from Flickr. You can see the full set of pictures here.

Father's Piglets & Vanilla Bourbon Bacon

I came across Father's Country Hams while browsing through a certain Home Shopping Network site. They call themselves "Kentucky's Finest Eating" and seriously, they've got some gourmet bacon that I just haven't seen anywhere else. If you don't happen to live in Kentucky, they do deliver via UPS.

This just looks scrumptous. Father's Piglets "The Ultimate Bacon Snack" is tasty bits of dry cured bacon that has been hand cooked with brown sugar and chopped pecans and baked until they are golden brown. Eat them right out of the bag! Could these be made at home? Probably, but I'm too lazy and these don't really break the bank.

Alright, now are you ready for this? How about some Father's Country Vanilla Bourbon Bacon! Three great things - Bourbon, Vanilla, and Bacon! Only $7.50 a pound.

Father's Blueberry Cinnamon Bacon is dry-cured,smoked with real hickory and hand-rubbed with specially created blueberry-cinammon rub.

Father's Peach Cinnamon Bacon has the flavor of fresh peaches, hickory smoke and a glaze of brown sugar.

Wow. I've yet to order bacon over the internet but I think this is gonna get me to do it. They also have lots of other flavored bacon, in addition to regular bacon flavored bacon, if you're into that sort of thing.

Torrid.com is one of the very few places that have cool clothes for plus size women, like me. They always have great skull clothing but they also have fabulous shoes and accessories. I've picked out a few of my favorites but there's no way I could fit everything I like in one post.

Black Sadie Skull Faux Sheepskin Sherpa Boot
- $39.00. I'm pretty sure these are coming home with me very soon.

Bacon Man with a Bacon Weave Face

I know nothing about this picture but it's fascinating.

I found this pic on miss Karen's Flickr photostream with only the cryptic tagline, "Made from 30 pounds of bacon by Diva and Steve". I'm afraid I am not content with this explanation and I need more information.

-Did it really take 30lbs of bacon to put this together?
-How many drinks did it take to come up with this idea?
-How is the bacon attached to the frame?
-Did you eat it when you were done?
-Are there any more pictures? (I want to see the bottom half!)

UPDATE: Bacon Today posted a lot more info and pictures about Bacon Man and Baconfest 2008. Go check it out!

Bacon Sausages

In keeping with the sausage theme, Mr. Dave from the Ridiculous Food Society of Upstate New York has been on a bacon kick of late and keeping me quite entertained and intruiged! His newest labor of love is Bacon Sausages, so new that he hasn't even tried them himself yet!

A few days ago he made some tasty looking Bacon Wrapped Pork Belly with Jalepenos.

Candied Bacon Brioche Buns with Pecans and Pistachio. OMG, I really need one of these now!

The wonderous Ultimate Peanut Butter and Bacon Sandwich.

I'm keeping my eye on Mr. Dave, he's a real innovator.

Russian Sausage Art

I realize that Sausage is not Bacon but I feel the need to give any Meat Art it's due. Can't really find any other info on this interesting Sausage Art other than:

1) It's Russian
2) It's edible and
3) Supposedly anyone can just walk up and eat the artwork

If you find any other information please pass it along!

Mmmmmmm.....Edible Mona Lisa.

Holy Bacon, Skull Jewelry and a Tat!

I've been a little out of sorts the last couple of days and lax on posting but in the meantime, I've gotten a couple of emails that I had to share. It made me really happy to get your emails, thanks guys! With the lack of comments sometimes it makes me wonder if this thing is on.

Ivan is an artist and sent me a pic of this fantastic Holy Bacon lino-cut which would look totally cool hanging in any kitchen.

Angela sent me a link to this very cool Dia De Los Muertos Necklace from the Sundance Catalog.

Tina received this skull charmer from her hubby.

She also made this awesome skull pin! You crafty chick, you!

Helen from Marmalade Cake Company sent me a pic of her breakfast tattoo complete with bacon!
