I don't think I've mentioned it before, but I'm a huge fan of cartoons new & old and I've been an Adult Swim addict since day one. I religiously watch Aqua Teen, Sealab 2021, Harvey Birdman, Metalocalypse, Robot Chicken, Squidbillies and The Venture Brothers just to name a few. The Venture Brothers is at the top of my all-time favorites list (right next to The Tick!)
You can't imagine how psyched I am then, to see that there's a Venture Brothers Album coming out this month. If you're like me, you believe that the Venture's theme song is a masterpiece so I can only imagine what an entire collection of music from the show will be like. Anyhow, I'm going to copy the description straight from the William$ $treet store as it's pretty much perfect.
J.G. Thirlwell, the prolific musical architect behind countless children's songs and an ocean of good-time party music under monikers such as "You've Got Foetus On Your Breath" and "Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel," is also the man behind the pulse-pounding, mind-bending musical collages that are an integral part of creating the Venture feel. Now you can own a whole assload of J.G. Thirlwell on CD (20 tracks) or vinyl (16 tracks) and recreate that Venture feel in your own living room.
* 20 tracks on CD
* 16 tracks on Vinyl
* Includes Title Theme "No Vacancy," "Spag," and "Assclamp!"
* Great gift for fans of eclectic music, Venturists, and nudists
* Nudists are easy to buy for
Nudist or not, you can pre-order your copy now and it'll ship out on 3/24. Plus they have some other awesome stuff to check out, I'm especially fond of the Guild of Calamitous Intent Hoodie.
Go Team Venture!
Awesome

ReplyDeleteYou like the Venture Brothers too? I have a couple friends who are big into it, but I can't seem to share the enthusiasm. It makes me feel old and square.
