Homemade Skull Cake

I tried to make a skull cake once. I'm no great baker but I like to think I am. My attempt, while tasty, was kind of a mess. Definitely nothing like Jennifer Barrett's Halloween experiment with fondant:





Jennifer, this cake looks awesome! I hate when things look so cool you feel guilty eating them.

    It was edible and it was tasty indeed. The fondant seemed to help keep the cake nice and moist. Not a red velvet cake, but next time we'll be sure to have a cherry filling, I think.
